About
the Area
Sedbergh is an historic market town, with cobbled yards
and unique atmosphere. It is ideally situated to enjoy both
the Lake District National park and Yorkshire Dales National
Park.
The Dales Way walk from
Ilkley to Bowness goes through Sedbergh, as does the Cumbrian
Cycleway, a 250 mile circular route which passes though
and can be joined at Sedbergh.
Approximately 5 miles
east of Sedbergh is Cautley Spout, a plunging cascade which
falls 200m down Cautley Crag to the River Rawthey.
